BABIES!

I just got back from my Grandma's cabin.  We stayed for two days.  It was very pretty and wonderful, though I don't know if most kids from my generation would have been able to stand it. No cell service or wifi.  I didn't communicate or see anyone from my age group the whole time I was there. When we came back home and drove through Taco Time to get some food, it struck me that the girl taking my order was the first teenager I had seen in two days! Adults don't understand this, because they're boring, but its weird not talking to people you identify with. Often while at the cabin I would be listening to the adults and notice how foreign they are.  They could all sit around for hours talking about medication, menopause, and fishing. Occasionally someone would take interest in me. Asking the average "adult to teenager" questions: What grade are you in? How many kids are in your school? How's your summer been?  You know what I mean.

I, vow that when I am old I will ask teenagers questions that aren't so completely expected and impersonal.

I could literally phrase out in my head how I would answer their question before they even asked it.

I love old fashioned names, I also love Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy, so if I have a child I think I would name him/her something old. Here are some of my favorites:

Girls:                  Boys:
Anastasia           Augustus
Celeste              Chester
Charlotte            Damon
Corinne              James
Cynthia              Nile
Emmeline           Palmer
Estelle                Parker
Evangeline         Spencer
Hazel                 Julian
Jesse                 William
 Lucinda
Viola
Zella

What would you name your child?
